Jakarta, September 7, 2026 – PLN Nusantara Power’s (PLN NP) transformation in developing new sources of growth beyond its core power generation business has earned recognition through the Corporate Entrepreneurial Marketing Award 2026 and the Industry Marketing Champion award. The awards were presented in Surabaya on Thursday (September 3).
The recognition reflects PLN NP’s success in transforming its operational strengths, technical capabilities, and corporate resources into business solutions that address evolving market needs, while expanding its business reach to the global market.
Throughout 2025, PLN NP recorded healthy growth in revenue from power generation-related businesses, supported by increasing contributions from international markets. The company also strengthened its regional presence through a representative office in Malaysia, while continuing to pursue business opportunities in strategic markets such as Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.
President Director of PLN Nusantara Power said that business growth today is no longer driven solely by the ability to sell products, but increasingly by a company’s ability to understand market needs and develop the right solutions.
“PLN Nusantara Power continues to develop a more customer-centric business approach. We want every capability within the company to be transformed into solutions, market opportunities, and new sources of growth,” he said.
This strategy is being implemented by extending PLN NP’s power generation expertise into various sectors, ranging from Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services for the petrochemical industry and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for the transportation and mining sectors, to the utilization of Fly Ash and Bottom Ash (FABA) for construction industry applications and public infrastructure.
PLN NP is also strengthening its data-driven marketing strategy through DerivaWatch, a CRM-based marketing intelligence platform that enables the company to shift from a reactive marketing approach toward a more proactive one. Through this system, the marketing process is structured around customer segmentation, opportunity mapping, solution matching, and business pipeline monitoring.
In the green business sector, PLN NP has adopted a knowledge-led marketing approach to expand the carbon and hydrogen markets. Through various market engagement initiatives, including the Carbon Seminar, the company seeks to build stronger connections between knowledge, customer needs, and commercial opportunities.
To date, more than 550,000 tCO? of carbon credits have been sold, while revenue from the carbon business has increased 2.5 times compared with the previous year. PLN NP has also supplied approximately 1.2 tons of hydrogen to support industrial needs and the development of the clean energy ecosystem.
To strengthen its future expansion, PLN NP applies three main frameworks: Market Prioritization – Where to Play, Solution-Market Fit – What to Offer, and Targeted Market Activation – How to Win. These approaches are supported by PESTEL research covering more than 30 countries and analysis of more than 100 tenders and projects.
On the operational side, PLN NP’s business transformation is further strengthened through digitalization with the Intelligent Centre of Optimization for Reliability & Efficiency (iCORE), which leverages the Internet of Things (IoT), data integration, and intelligent analytics to improve power plant reliability, efficiency, and predictive maintenance capabilities.
Entering 2026, PLN Nusantara Power is targeting revenue growth of 15.56 percent compared with its 2025 target, with a focus on market expansion, the development of integrated solutions and sustainable solutions, as well as stronger market intelligence capabilities.
“These awards reinforce our confidence that the business transformation we are pursuing is moving in the right direction. Going forward, PLN Nusantara Power will continue to make innovation, customer intelligence, and operational excellence the foundations for creating sustainable growth,” he concluded.
