Supporting Communities

We delivers tangible benefits through community development programs to foster harmonious relationships between the company and the community while enhancing the economic, social, and environmental.
We encourage all employees to actively participate in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities through initiatives such as the Nusantara Volunteering Program (NVP). This effort begins with leadership involvement, including Directors who have initiated activities like BUBA BIBU (Bulan Berbagi Buku dan Baju – Month of Sharing Books and Clothes). This movement has been embraced by all PLN NP unit leaders. Additionally, the management has joined community environmental activities, such as Coastal Clean Up and Tree Planting campaigns, to further engage with local communities.
Preventing Negative Impacts
The Company adopts a proactive sustainability strategy to prevent social conflicts, maintain its reputation, and avoid legal sanctions. One of its efforts includes constructing power plants based on Environmental Impact Assessments that comprehensively address environmental, social, and economic aspects. Additionally, we develop Environmental Management Plans (RKL) and Environmental Monitoring Plans (RPL) as mitigation measures to minimize the negative impacts of operational activities.
Contribution to Social Communities
We conduct business mapping (business risk mapping, alignment with the Company’s Long-Term Plan, and strategic Company issues) as well as social mapping to understand the social, economic, and environmental conditions of communities surrounding operational areas. These efforts are then utilized as the basis for designing relevant and effective community development work plans that align with the Company’s vision and mission. Through development programs designed based on local needs, we strive to make a positive contribution to society while fostering sustainable synergy with local communities to support operational sustainability and mutual growth.
A Portrait of Empowered Communities
PLN NP emphasizes empowering communities surrounding its operational activities through programs in education, environmental conservation, and Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development.  We align our actions with the sustainable development goals.
