Jakarta, May 26, 2026 – PT PLN Nusantara Power (PLN NP) continues to bolster the reliability of Indonesia's national electricity system by strengthening its supply chain and optimizing strategic partnerships. A key milestone in this effort was marked by its subsidiary, Prima Layanan Niaga Suku Cadang (PLN SC), which officially signed a Blanket Purchase Agreement with Swiss-based technology firm Rittmeyer AG on Monday (May 18) in Jakarta.
The agreement was signed by PLN Suku Cadang President Director Thommi Haposan and Rittmeyer AG CEO Roger Amhof. This collaboration serves as a strategic move to enhance operational support for power plants and the utility sector in Indonesia through the provision of advanced technological solutions, technical support, and more efficient, integrated equipment procurement.
Founded in 1899, Rittmeyer AG is a Swiss technology leader specializing in smart utility infrastructure, automation, and data management for the water and energy sectors. As part of the BRUGG Group, the company provides sophisticated technological solutions, including flow and level measurement, penstock monitoring, and instrumentation and control systems for hydropower plants, dams, and energy networks.
PLN Nusantara Power President Director Ruly Firmansyah emphasized that strengthening the supply chain is a foundational pillar in maintaining power plant reliability and supporting PLN NP’s transformation into an adaptive, globally competitive energy company.
“PLN Nusantara Power continues to strengthen the national electricity ecosystem through strategic collaborations with global partners possessing superior technological capabilities,” said Firmansyah. “This partnership between PLN Suku Cadang and Rittmeyer AG is a vital step in building a more reliable, efficient, and responsive supply chain to meet national operational needs. Furthermore, it opens avenues for technology and knowledge transfer, which are crucial for Indonesia’s energy sector transformation.”
PLN Suku Cadang President Director Thommi Haposan described the partnership as a strategic momentum to expand the company’s business capacity while elevating service quality for PLN Group’s power plants and the broader national utility sector.
“This cooperation is a positive step toward adding tangible value to our business and the national electricity sector. It allows PLN Suku Cadang to provide faster, more precise, and reliable support for power plant operations,” Haposan stated.
Meanwhile, Rittmeyer AG CEO Roger Amhof expressed his appreciation for the partnership, noting its role in expanding the company's technological contribution to Asia, particularly Indonesia.
“We welcome this partnership as the beginning of a long-term relationship between Rittmeyer AG and PLN Suku Cadang,” said Amhof. “Indonesia holds immense potential for utility and energy infrastructure development. We are confident that this collaboration will deliver innovative technological solutions that contribute significantly to the reliability of Indonesia's utility sector.”
The Blanket Purchase Agreement framework enables long-term procurement, allowing for more efficient sourcing of goods and services under pre-agreed terms and pricing. This model facilitates faster procurement processes, enhances cost efficiency, and allows for more sustainable and measurable operational planning.
Moving forward, the partnership between PLN SC and Rittmeyer AG is expected to evolve into a broader strategic alliance, fostering the introduction of adaptive technological solutions tailored to Indonesia’s power plant and utility requirements. This synergy aligns with PLN Nusantara Power’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the reliability of the national electricity supply while supporting Indonesia’s transition toward a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
